The Goods and Services Tax Portal (https://selfservice.gstsystem.in/) is an online platform developed under the GSTN that enables taxpayers to register their complaints on a range of issues related to GST. Taxpayers can file complaints regarding problems related to GST registration, delayed refunds, GST invoice upload problems and any fake invoice that comes to their notice.

The government also has an e-mail helpdesk for taxpayers to register their complaints. However, registering a grievance on the GST complaint portal will ensure speedy resolution at the highest levels. Therefore, taxpayers should always look out for using this portal as it helps them to resolve their queries efficiently.

Here are some key steps that one must follow to the GST Self-Service grievance reporting portal:

• Step 1: Visit the official site of the GST Self-Service Portal (https://selfservice.gstsystem.in/) portal.
• Step 2: Once the home page loads, click on ‘Report Issue’ icon from the side bar.
• Step 3: On the page thus opened, click on ‘Advance Search’.
• Step 4: Select the category and sub-category from the respective drop-down lists.
• Step 5: In the FAQ box, you will receive a possible solution. If you’re satisfied with it, click on ‘Yes’ button at the button otherwise go ahead with ‘No, I want to Lodge My Complaint’.
• Step 6: Fill in the online GST grievance form that will appear on your device screen.
• Step 7: Submit screenshots of the problem you’ve encountered in the Attachment section, if possible.
• Step 8: Describe your issue in 500 words in the box thus provided (including GSTIN/ARN/TRN/CPIN for quick resolution).
• Step 9: Enter the Captcha.
• Step 10: Click on ‘Submit’ to submit your GST grievance.
