Introduction to Procurement management
MLI understands the importance of partners to remain competitive in a dynamic business environment. As a step in that direction, Procurement function has been created with a mandate to develop partner relationships to maximize mutual opportunities for growth and profitability. The procurement organization has a central core team of Procurement experts and execution teams operating under different business divisions based out of Gurgaon HO.
Procurement philosophy
At the center of MLI’s Procurement Philosophy is partnership and collaboration. The Procurement characteristics have therefore been defined using the same approach.

Regulatory compliance
All Partners of Max Life must operate within the boundaries of all applicable laws. They must also adhere to the governing standards of the country. If at any time a Partner ceases to meet any statutory and/or other requirement, Max Life reserves the right to immediately cancel all its outstanding orders with that Partner as well as terminate its agreement with the Partner
Confidentiality
Max Life will treat information received from Partners in a responsible manner, and expects Partners to treat information received from Max Life in the same manner. Partners should not disclose Max Life as a customer, documentation received from Max Life or release information about relationships with Max Life without written consent (should such disclosures be legally required, Max Life will not unreasonably withhold that permission, which must be obtained in advance and in writing)
Partner Satisfaction
Max Life would conduct an annual partner satisfaction survey and use it as an important tool to continuously improve and further develop its internal and external processes with partners. In order to obtain an unbiased feedback, the survey would be conducted by an independent authority
Partner Disengagement
Max Life reserves the right to cancel all orders and/or contracts with a partner in cases where there is an unethical practice used, code of conduct violation, partner bankruptcy or insolvency, ownership transfer and/or any other reason deemed fit for disengagement. Max Life would follow a structured approach for disengagement to ensure the smooth transitioning where separation becomes inevitable
Max Life ensures partners to get the best payable procedures to ensure invoices are processed effectively. Partner should ensure general guiding for timely and effective payment
As per general guiding
✓ Partner should submit valid and correct invoices and documents in accordance with agreed terms
✓ Invoice should support verification / support documents for payment processing
✓ Max Life will release the payment as per the agreed payment terms and cycle following the invoice due date
Max Life prefers electronic payment transfer to ensure rapid, timely, and accurate payment to partners. For this, partners are required to submit the account details at the time of contract finalization.
Partner Support service team is an independent body taking care of all the issue/escalation/grievance related to Partner. Irrespective of issue type team is ensuring that each and every case is resolved and close loop with the Partner with in company policy and process

Information provided in the form will not become the basis for registration approval but also for all future references such as maintaining the profile, short-listing for final supplier selection, communication etc

The prospective supplier registration is an easy process, intended for use by suppliers seeking to do business with the Max Life. Please note that registration to our database does not imply a contract, or intent to purchase by Max Life
Prospective suppliers to fill out the on line registration form and the information is then made available to Max Life SME – Category Manager. Suppliers will only be contacted if additional information is required about the company product or service. Suppliers need to update the profile every year and MaxLife will send reminders to supplier contacts requesting an update.
